ASSAM (India CSR): The Chola Foundation, in collaboration with Smile Foundation,undertook a flood relief intervention to support communities affected by the recent floods in Assam.The initiativecovered 10 flood-impactedregionsacrossthe state, benefitting over 1,250 families.It focused on addressing the dailyessentialand hygieneneeds of affected families through the distribution of dry rations, hygiene kits, and essential supplieswithparticular attention to women, children, elderly people and people with disabilities.
The relief effort was planned in coordination with local authorities and community leaders to ensure that assistance reached the most affected communities. Chola employees from Assam actively volunteered on the ground, supporting the distribution of relief supplies while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines advised by district authorities.
