NEW DELHI (India CSR®): LG Electronics India Limited spent Rs 1.02 crore on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities during the financial year 2025-26, against its prescribed CSR obligation of Rs 45.40 crore, according to the company’s latest annual report.The company transferred the remaining Rs 44.38 crore to its Unspent CSR Account on April 30, 2026, for utilisation towards identified ongoing projects. The CSR obligation was calculated at two per cent of the company’s average net profit of Rs 2,269.74 crore for the three immediately preceding financial years.
Spending Breakup
Of the total CSR expenditure, Rs 28.2 lakh was spent directly on CSR projects. This included Rs 20.7 lakh towards healthcare and awareness programmes and Rs 7.5 lakh for environmental sustainability initiatives. The company also reported Rs 60.3 lakh as administrative overheads and Rs 13.3 lakh towards impact assessment. Together, these components took the total CSR expenditure for FY26 to Rs 1.02 crore. In FY25, LG Electronics India had spent Rs 1.34 crore against a CSR requirement of Rs 36.25 crore. The prescribed CSR obligation, therefore, increased by more than Rs 9 crore during FY26, while the amount actually spent declined.

Phased Implementation
Explaining the unspent amount, the company said it had already identified projects under health, nutrition, education and skilling. However, the funds were being allocated and implemented in phases based on ground-level impact, the execution capacity of implementing partners and other operational considerations. LG Electronics India said this approach was intended to ensure the meaningful and effective use of CSR funds instead of accelerated or sub-optimal deployment. The company added that it remained committed to fully utilising the unspent amount on identified activities in the coming financial years.
Nutrition Support
The company’s flagship “LG Life’s Good Nutrition Programme” provided nutritional assistance to 1,18,857 children studying in government schools across 18 locations in India. Implemented with national non-governmental organisations and local stakeholders, the initiative seeks to improve children’s access to balanced meals while supporting better health, school attendance, classroom participation and overall development.
The company’s Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report separately recorded around 1.20 lakh beneficiaries under its nutrition programme, all belonging to vulnerable and marginalised communities.
Youth Skilling
LG Electronics India also continued its employment-focused skills initiatives. Its retail skills training programme provides disadvantaged young people, particularly from Tier-II and Tier-III cities, with practical training in retail sales, customer engagement, product demonstration and workplace management. The company’s Hope Technical Skill Academy operates four training centres across Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The programme has trained 3,240 young people, of whom 2,292 have been placed in the industry, while 228 were undergoing training at the reporting date.
The academies provide technical instruction in appliance installation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, workplace safety and customer service. The programme is implemented with the Electronics Sector Skill Council of India and a government polytechnic under the National Small Industries Corporation framework.
Previous Balances
The annual report also disclosed unutilised balances from earlier financial years. An amount of Rs 29.26 crore remained to be spent from the FY24 Unspent CSR Account, while Rs 34.91 crore remained from FY25. These figures exclude interest earned on CSR fixed deposits, net of tax.
The company transferred Rs 44.38 crore to its Unspent CSR Account while continuing nutrition and youth-skilling programmes.

Business Performance
LG Electronics India reported revenue from operations of Rs 24,604.91 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 24,366.64 crore in the previous year. Its profit for the year stood at Rs 1,685.09 crore, down from Rs 2,203.35 crore in FY25. The company said its CSR strategy prioritises education, youth skilling, sustainable community development, environmental sustainability and livelihood opportunities for underserved communities.
