Builds on Danfoss India’s continued investment in Panrutti schools following the Smart Classroom initiative earlier this year.
Students receive stationery kits and the company’s employees join them in a tree plantation drive
CHENNAI (India CSR): Danfoss India, a global leader in engineering technologies for infrastructure, climate and energy sectors, has strengthened their commitment to community development by inaugurating a newly constructed open-air multipurpose auditorium at the Government Panrutti Elementary School, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts focused on improving the quality of education while promoting environmental sustainability.
The newly inaugurated auditorium addresses a long-standing infrastructure need at the school, which has over 40 students from Standards I to V. Until now, students had to have their mid-day meals inside their classrooms, which also doubled as spaces for assemblies, cultural programmes and annual day celebrations.
Speaking about the initiative, Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss India Region, said, “We believe that investing in education is one of the most meaningful ways to create lasting impact in communities. Through initiatives that strengthen learning environments and promote sustainability, we aim to provide children with opportunities to learn, grow and reach their full potential. The Panrutti Elementary School initiative reflects our continued commitment to creating positive and enduring change where it matters most.”
Education, environment, sustainable livelihoods, and health form the four key pillars of Danfoss India’s CSR strategy
Designed with natural ventilation, the new facility provides a dedicated common space where students can comfortably enjoy their meals, participate in extracurricular activities and come together for school events. This creates a more conducive environment for everyday learning. As part of the programme, the Danfoss India employees also distributed stationery kits to every student to support their academic journey.

Expressing her gratitude, the Headmistress of the Government Panrutti Elementary School said, “Our students deserve a learning environment where they feel encouraged, comfortable and inspired every day. We sincerely thank Danfoss India for this meaningful contribution, which will enrich their school experience and create opportunities for them to learn with greater confidence and joy. We are truly grateful for their continued support towards our school and community.”
Education, environment, sustainable livelihoods, and health form the four key pillars of Danfoss India’s CSR strategy. The Panrutti Elementary School initiative builds on the company’s continued efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in the region, following the inauguration of smart classrooms at the nearby Panrutti Government Higher Secondary School earlier this year. Through initiatives that improve access to quality learning environments and encourage sustainable practices, Danfoss India continues to contribute towards building stronger communities and enabling better opportunities for future generations.
