ANGUL (India CSR): Jindal Steel celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm at its Angul plant, reaffirming its commitment to holistic health and well-being. A mega yoga session was organised on the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, bringing together employees, their family members, business associates, students, and members of the local community.
The programme was graced by P.K. Biju Nair, Executive Director In-Charge; Damodar Mittal, Executive Director – Iron Zone; Hridayswar Jha, Executive Director – Projects; Subhash Chander, Head–HR, and special guest Sushila Prahlad Farmania of Yog Vidyapeeth, Sambalpur. Senior leaders, including department heads, and community representatives also participated in the event.

The yoga session was conducted by Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati, who guided participants through a series of yoga asanas, breathing techniques, and meditation practices aimed at enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.
Jindal Steel has consistently promoted yoga as an integral part of its employee wellness initiatives through regular yoga sessions and training programmes at its operational locations. These efforts have encouraged employees and their families to embrace healthier and more balanced lifestyles.



Participants expressed their gratitude to Jindal Steel Chairman Naveen Jindal for promoting yoga across the organization through regular yoga training facilities and dedicated yoga instructors. Many shared how these initiatives have helped them and their family members adopt healthier lifestyles.
On the occasion, participants also took a pledge to practice yoga regularly and make it a part of their daily lives.

Similar celebrations and yoga sessions were organized at O.P. Jindal School, Shram Veer Palace, and other places.
The observance of International Day of Yoga reflects Jindal Steel’s continued commitment to promoting health, wellness, and sustainable living among its employees and the communities it serves.
