Placement-linked skilling programme supports underserved youth with technical learning, workplace readiness and employment preparation.
NOIDA (India CSR): Nasscom Foundation and Atain, an AI-led enterprise orchestration partner in the technology and business services sector, trained 350 youth from underserved communities in Delhi-NCR, including Uttar Pradesh, under the Rise with Skills programme on June 17, 2026, to improve employability through digital, technical and workplace readiness skills.
Skills Programme
The programme focused on Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and BPM – Associate Banking. It also included communication, confidence building, interview preparation and workplace readiness.
The initiative was designed as a placement-linked skilling programme. It aimed to help young people move from classroom learning to meaningful employment opportunities.
Placement Support
According to the release, 70% of the students will be facilitated with placement opportunities through active placement support and industry-aligned preparation.
The programme also included a structured pre-placement support system. This covered employability skills, interview readiness and exposure to employer expectations.
Women Participation
The programme placed emphasis on inclusive participation. Women formed the majority of the learner cohort, the company said.
A mobilisation strategy was carried out across Delhi-NCR to identify eligible and motivated candidates. A two-level screening process was followed to select learners with eligibility and aptitude for sectors such as AI, Data Science, BFSI and BPM.
Training Model
The training was delivered through a centre-based model. It included 180 hours of intensive, in-person learning across multiple batches.
The curriculum combined technical competencies, soft skills and hands-on projects. Learners were introduced to financial reporting, compliance frameworks, ERP systems, Excel-based analytics and AI-enabled tools.
Industry Exposure
Atain employees also engaged with learners through structured volunteering sessions. These sessions provided workplace insights, career guidance and industry exposure.
Jyoti Sharma, CEO, Nasscom Foundation, said, “India’s technology sector is expanding rapidly, but the availability of job-ready talent continues to remain a critical gap. Through our year-on-year collaboration with Atain, we are working to address this by enabling youth from underserved communities with relevant digital, technical and employability skills. We are proud to have trained 350 students under this programme, with most of the participation from women. It is encouraging to see that some learners have already secured employment opportunities. This reinforces our belief that the right training, mentoring and industry exposure can create meaningful pathways to employment and long-term economic resilience.”
Employment Bridge
Amir Bharwani, CHRO, Atain, said, “Proud to partner with Nasscom Foundation to strengthen the bridge between academia and industry, giving students access and exposure to practical knowledge, real workplaces, and career journeys. At Atain, we are committed to creating stronger pathways from education to employment.”
The collaboration reflects a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach focused on skilling, employability, inclusion and community development. It also supports public interest by helping underserved youth prepare for India’s growing digital economy.
Nasscom Foundation, established in 2001, works under the TechForGood philosophy across digital literacy, skilling and employability, women entrepreneurship, social innovation and NGO ecosystem strengthening. Atain works on enterprise orchestration by aligning people, processes and platforms with AI.
