GURUGRAM (India CSR): Maruti Suzuki India Limited, an automobile manufacturing company, said its employees contributed over 2,600 volunteering hours in FY 2025-26 under its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programme eParivartan, which included friendly blind cricket matches with the Cricket Association for the Blind, Delhi, in Gurugram, Haryana, to promote social inclusion and empathy.
The activity was held on 16 June 2026 at the SportsCube Center for Excellence in Sector 70, Gurugram. The venue was selected for its accessible infrastructure for visually impaired cricketers.
Employees And Visually Impaired Cricketers Shared The Field To Promote Inclusion Through Sport
Under the initiative, Maruti Suzuki employees played two 10-over cricket matches with players from the Cricket Association for the Blind, Delhi. CABD is affiliated with the Cricket Association for the Blind in India.
Both matches were won by the CABD team, the company said. The matches followed official blind cricket guidelines. These included audible balls and adapted rules for batting, bowling and fielding.
eParivartan Programme Connects Corporate Volunteering With Community Engagement And Disability Inclusion
The engagement was organised under Maruti Suzuki’s employee volunteering CSR programme, eParivartan. The company said the initiative was designed to support social inclusion and build empathy, respect and teamwork among employees.
The company also presented cricket kits to the Cricket Association for the Blind, Delhi.
CABD Uses Cricket As A Platform For Confidence Building And Social Integration
The Cricket Association for the Blind in Delhi is a registered non-profit organisation. It promotes, develops and governs blind cricket across the National Capital Region.
CABD uses sport as a means for social integration, confidence building and physical development of visually impaired individuals.

Over 1,100 Employees Took Part In More Than 30 Community Activities
In FY 2025-26, more than 1,100 Maruti Suzuki employees volunteered time and skills through over 30 community activities, the company said. These activities covered health, community care, education and youth engagement.
The company said the programme positively impacted more than 8,700 individuals during the year.
Blind cricket is played with a larger ball containing bells. Bowlers use verbal cues before delivery. Batters rely on sound, while fielders use hearing and verbal coordination to track the ball.
