Initiative focuses on employability, digital skills, customer care, data entry, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for young women in Haryana.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Limited (PNB MetLife), one of India’s leading life insurers, has partnered with Responsenet, to implement the Kshamata skill development and livelihood program for young women. The initiative is part of PNB MetLife’s commitment towards community development and women’s empowerment.
Launched in August 2025, the Kshamata initiative aims to train 500 young women in customer care, data entry, and digital marketing. The program equips participants with industry‑relevant and digital skills to improve their job readiness, income potential, and access to sustainable livelihoods.
The training is being delivered through two dedicated centers of Responsenet in Bahadurgarh (Jhajjar district) and Rohtak, Haryana. The curriculum combines technical training, practical exposure, and workplace readiness, enabling participants to either enter the formal workforce or pursue self‑employment and freelance opportunities, particularly in the digital and services sectors.
Upon completion, participants are expected to secure placement opportunities, while others will receive support to start their own ventures or work as freelancers and consultants. 70% of participants have secured sustainable livelihood, marking an early milestone for the program.
Sourabh Lohtia, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at PNB MetLife said, “There is a clear need to expand access to skills and livelihood opportunities for women, who account for about a third of India’s working-age population. Kshamata helps young women learn in-demand skills so they can find jobs, gain financial independence, and contribute to their communities. It is part of PNB MetLife’s broader commitment to support underserved communities to help drive social and economic progress.”
Kuldip Nar, Director, Responsenet, said, “At Responsenet, we see targeted skill development as a catalyst for women’s economic empowerment. Our end‑to‑end approach- covering mobilization, high‑quality training, mentorship, and placement support is already delivering results, with several participants securing jobs. We remain committed to helping participants build sustainable livelihoods and long‑term confidence.”
