JHARSUGUDA, ODISHA (India CSR): Epsilon Foundation, the CSR arm of Epsilon Carbon Private Limited, and the East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation (EWS-KT) have announced the launch of a new collaborative project titled “Enhancing Farmers Income Through Promotion of Sustainable Vegetable Production Practices.”
This 6-month pilot initiative aims to uplift rural livelihoods in Jharsuguda district, Odisha, by promoting sustainable and market-driven vegetable production.
While Jharsuguda has good agricultural background, the farmers face many economic and environmental challenges to grow their potential. To help address these issues, the project will work with 1,000 smallholder farmers through in-person training and digital learning that will strengthen their skills and improve their livelihood opportunities.
The program will focus on effective agronomic practices for soil and plant health, climate smart techniques, integrated pest management, and farm business planning to support long-term livelihood development.
Epsilon Foundation will also keep contributing to this initiative through employee volunteer activities by strengthening the partnership’s impact on local communities.
