Tata Trusts Disburses ₹902.32 Crore in FY 2024–25, Empowering Millions Across Key Social Sectors

MUMBAI (India CSR): In a landmark year for Indian philanthropy, Tata Trusts — one of India’s oldest and most impactful charitable institutions — announced total disbursals of Rs. 902.32 crore (US$106.16 million) in FY 2024–25, reaffirming its legacy of nation-building through education, healthcare, rural development, and social welfare.

130-year-old Tata Trusts is one of India’s most respected philanthropic institutions.

Institutional Grants Lead with ₹753.13 Crore

Out of the total disbursements, Rs. 753.13 crore (US$88.60 million) was channelled toward institutional grants and direct implementation projects.
Among these:

  • Education: ₹247.47 crore (28%)
  • Healthcare: ₹106.23 crore (12%)
  • Cancer Care: ₹101.57 crore (12%)
  • Rural Upliftment: ₹128.96 crore (14%)
  • Institutions: ₹93.01 crore (11%)
  • Water Initiatives: ₹37.76 crore (5%)
  • Arts, Crafts & Culture: ₹27.61 crore (4%)
  • Urban Poverty Alleviation: ₹10.38 crore (3%)
  • Innovations: ₹0.14 crore (1%)

Individual Grants Support ₹149.19 Crore

Tata Trusts also extended Rs. 149.19 crore (US$17.56 million) in individual grants, including:

  • Medical Assistance: ₹108.13 crore
  • Educational Support: ₹40.91 crore
  • Relief of Poverty: ₹0.15 crore

These individual initiatives directly benefited thousands across India, promoting access to healthcare and higher education for the underprivileged.

Jamsetji Tata Trust (JTT)

Tata Education Trust (TET)

Tata Social Welfare Trust (TSWT)

R. D. Tata Trust (RDTT)

Lady Tata Memorial Trust (LTMT)

The J. N. Tata Endowment for the Higher Education of Indians (JNTE)

The J. R. D. and Thelma J. Tata Trust (JRD&TJTT)

The J. R. D. Tata Trust (JRDTT)

Together, they continue to drive high-impact programs aligned with India’s developmental priorities — from combating poverty and disease to promoting knowledge and cultural preservation.
