MUMBAI (India CSR): Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., one of India’s most admired and diversified business groups, celebrates its 80th Founders Day today, marking the visionary spirit of its founders, J.C. Mahindra, K.C. Mahindra who set up the company on October 2, 1945 – the day the world celebrates Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

First Bold Advertisement for Inclusion and Enterprise

Eight decades ago, even before India’s independence, Mahindra placed an advertisement in The Times of India announcing the launch of the company. The ad called for enterprising individuals of all communities to join a company built on courage, fairness, and opportunity – a bold and inclusive call at a time when the world was still grappling with war, economic uncertainty, and social division.
