Raman brings a wealth of expertise in strategy, business development, marketing, and program implementation

MUMBAI (India CSR): Hinduja Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the over 110-year-old transnational conglomerate Hinduja Group, has announced the appointment of Raman Kalyanakrishnan as its Chief Executive Officer. With over three decades of experience, including 21 years in the corporate sector and nine years in philanthropy, Raman brings a wealth of expertise in strategy, business development, marketing, and program implementation.

Raman Kalyanakrishnan will lead the Hinduja Foundation’s strategic initiatives, driving its philanthropic efforts in areas such as healthcare, water stewardship, rural development, education, and sustainability. His leadership will be pivotal in expanding the Foundation’s impact and enhancing its community engagement efforts.

On the appointment, Ashok P. Hinduja, Chairman, Hinduja Foundation, said, “At the Hinduja Foundation, we have always been committed to building sustainable and inclusive value for our communities. Raman’s experience in both the corporate and development sectors, along with his deep understanding of program strategy and execution, will be instrumental as we expand the scope and scale of our philanthropic initiatives. We are delighted to have him join the Group and look forward to an impactful journey ahead.”

Raman Kalyanakrishnan, CEO, Hinduja Foundation, said, “It is a privilege to lead an institution with such a rich legacy of nation-building and social transformation. I look forward to working closely with the team and our partners to further the Foundation’s mission of inclusive development through innovation, collaboration, and empathy. Together, we will build on the Foundation’s strong base to deepen our impact across rural development, water stewardship, education, and cultural preservation.”

Before joining the Hinduja Foundation, he contributed to multiple strategic initiatives at the Tata Trusts. He has also held leadership positions at Tata Strategic Management Group, Bharti Airtel, Mattel Toys, and Arvind Fashions.

Raman holds a postgraduate diploma in management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
