NEW DELHI (India CSR): Future Generali India Insurance (FGII) has reached a significant milestone by achieving 1% representation of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in its workforce. This accomplishment was highlighted during Purple Fest 2025, held at Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan, in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) and the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJE).
Workforce Growth Highlighted
In just one year, FGII expanded its PwD workforce from 16 to 41 employees across 16 regional branches, with 22% being women, reflecting its dedication to diversity and inclusion. The company also enhanced its office infrastructure to ensure accessibility and a seamless onboarding experience for PwD employees. Purple Fest 2025, attended by President Droupadi Murmu, showcased this progress through adaptive sports, skill-building workshops, and discussions with corporate leaders and changemakers focused on inclusion.
Leadership Commitment Emphasized
“This milestone underscores our commitment to building an inclusive workplace,” said Anup Rau, MD & CEO of FGII. “Achieving 1% PwD representation is a meaningful step toward creating opportunities and driving change.”

By integrating PwDs into its workforce and adapting its facilities, the company sets a practical example of how inclusion can be embedded into business practices. The Purple Fest 2025 platform amplified FGII’s story, inspiring others to rethink workplace diversity.
