Health Camps and Safety Gear Distribution Enhance Workplace Protection at Chadha Residency
MAHARASHTRA (India CSR): In a continued effort to support the safety and well-being of construction workers, IIFL Home Finance Ltd. successfully launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Chadha Residency, a PMAY public-private partnership (PPP) project in Vangani, near Badlapur, Maharashtra.
This initiative is part of the MHADA-PPP framework, which emphasizes worker welfare, occupational safety, and preventive healthcare in large-scale construction projects. By providing protective gear and medical support, IIFL Home Finance aims to create safer work environments and improve the quality of life for workers who contribute to India’s growing infrastructure.
Empowering Workers with Essential Safety Gear
Recognizing the risks associated with construction work, IIFL Home Finance distributed 50 sets of essential safety equipment, including:
- Helmets – Protecting workers from head injuries on-site.
- Gloves – Reducing the risk of hand injuries and burns.
- Gumboots – Ensuring better grip and safety on slippery surfaces.
This initiative ensures that construction workers have access to the necessary protective gear, reducing workplace accidents and enhancing overall site safety.
Health Camps for Preventive Medical Support
To address the health concerns of laborers, IIFL Home Finance organized a free health camp, providing crucial preventive healthcare services. The camp included:
- Eye Tests – Detecting vision problems that may impact work safety.
- Blood Sugar Checks – Identifying early signs of diabetes.
- Blood Pressure (BP) Monitoring – Preventing hypertension-related health risks.
- Complete Blood Count (CBC) Tests – Assessing overall health and detecting infections or deficiencies.
Many construction workers lack access to basic healthcare services, making such initiatives crucial for early detection and prevention of serious health conditions.
Leadership’s Commitment to Worker Welfare
Speaking about the initiative, Manish Dosani, Zonal Sales Head, IIFL Home Finance, emphasized the company’s dedication to worker safety and well-being:
“At IIFL Home Finance, we deeply value the contributions of construction workers. Their safety and well-being are at the core of our CSR initiatives. By providing protective gear and healthcare support, we aim to create a safer and healthier work environment. Health camps play a vital role in early detection of health issues, allowing workers to seek timely medical assistance and stay productive. Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible and continue fostering a culture of safety in construction sites.”
His statement reinforced IIFL Home Finance’s long-term vision for responsible corporate citizenship and inclusive growth.
A Collaborative Effort for Social Impact
The event was attended by representatives from IIFL Home Finance and Chadha Residency, highlighting the importance of collaboration in social welfare initiatives. Their collective support underscored the commitment to worker safety, community well-being, and sustainable development.
Beyond Affordable Housing: A Holistic Approach to CSR
IIFL Home Finance is known for its commitment to affordable housing, but this initiative showcases its broader social responsibility. By prioritizing worker safety, healthcare access, and overall well-being, the company is creating a positive social impact beyond home financing.
Through such efforts, IIFL Home Finance continues to drive sustainable community development, uplift marginalized workers, and foster a culture of care and responsibility in the industry.
