This includes employers taking proactive steps such as regular well-being check-ins and offering more ways for individuals to juggle between professional life and their families. 

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)

The desire to work in organisations that advocate diversity and inclusion has become a prevailing sentiment among employees. Beyond mere diversity numbers, employees value an inclusive culture where their unique backgrounds, experiences, and voices are welcomed. Such an environment encourages open dialogue, creativity, and collaboration. Organisations that prioritise these principles draw top candidates & benefit from a workforce that is more engaged and adaptable.

According to Korn Ferry research, 75% of organisations investing in DE&I experience enhanced performance and greater growth. Happy and included diverse teams consistently deliver better performance. In 2023, Tata Steel was named the Global Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Lighthouse by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Leaders at Tata Steel have specifically highlighted DE&I as a central pillar within their organisational culture. They emphasise the critical importance of diversity and inclusion in driving innovation.

Effective leadership in the modern workplace revolves around clear communication, active mentorship, and building a feedback-rich environment. They should be well-informed about all the new innovations and learn to apply them to their daily work to bring in novelty.

Organisations must focus on celebrating wins, whether they are individual achievements or team milestones. This reinforces a culture of appreciation and motivates employees to strive for excellence. Recognition and rewards can take various forms, from verbal praise and certificates to financial incentives and gift cards. The key is to make the appreciation genuine and personalised to the individual or team receiving it.
