First Indian Cement Company to receive this prestigious recognition

NEW DELHI: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, a pioneer in cement manufacturing in the country is the first Indian cement company to be felicitated with The Green Pro Certification by CII. The company received this prestigious award at CII’S flagship event, Green Cementech in Hyderabad which witnessed the presence of the entire cement fraternity.
Mahendra Singhi, Group CEO, Dalmia Bharat, said, ”We have been committed to sustainability and green practices for over 75 years and it’s a matter of great pride and honour to be the first Indian Cement company to receive this recognition. As part of Dalmia Bharat’s continuous commitment to green practices, the brand’s Pozolana Cement (PPC)/ Vajram Cement has received CII’s certification. In the overall brand journey to reach 24 MTPA cement capacity, the green practices adopted grew as well with 530 Kg Co2/Ton of Cement as against the Global Avg. of 660 kg and Indian average of 586 Kg Co2/Ton of Cement.
