NEW DELHI: Lt Gen J.S. Ahluwalia, PVSM (retd.) (08.11.1936 – 04.11.2022), President of the Institute of Directors, India and the ‘World Environment Foundation’ (WEF) passed away on Friday, November 4, at the age of 86.
He immensely contributed and guided IOD, which is remained as India’s leading organisation for directors and at the heart of the Boardroom community in India.
A postgraduate in electronics engineering and MBA, he had specialised in engineering support to army weapon systems.
He has undergone extensive training in various manufacturing concerns in France, UK, USSR and Japan. He was an alumnus of the National Defence College, and college of Defence Management.
He retired in Nov 1994, as the Chief Executive & Director General, of the ‘Corps of Electronics & Mechanical Engineers’ of the Indian Army.
