RAIPUR: On the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, officers and employees have taken a pledge to make Balodabazar district leprosy free today.
Collector Sunil Kumar Jain has administered oath to him by announcing this effect in front of Gandhiji statue in the district office premises today. According to which we will all serve the leprosy patients after finding them according to the intention of Gandhiji.
This disease is now curable. There will be no discrimination against leprosy patients.
“We all individually and collectively will make our best efforts to end the stigma and discrimination of leprosy and will contribute immensely in bringing them into the mainstream of the society.” Jain said
On this occasion CMHO Dr. Khemraj Sonwani, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rakesh Kumar Awasthi, SDM Pratishtha Mamgai, Joint Collector Anupam Tiwari, DPO LR Kachhap, Deputy Collectors KL Sori and Ashish Karma, Deputy Director Asha Shukla, DPM Srishti Mishra in large numbers. Officers and employees were present.
