BANGALORE: Rotaray International District 3190 Governor Rtn HR Ananth awarded Social Entrepreneur to Atul Satija and Shekar Naik (Former Indian Blind Cricket Team Captain) with Rotary Youth Icon Awards 2017.

He is an inspiration to youth of India. his efforts in nudging people out of poverty are commendable. He left an illustrious career with Google and InMobi to start a social enterprise, Nudge Foundation with a promise to pull 1 million people sustainably out of poverty by 2020. His vision to make a difference to the lives of youth poverty alleviation initiative and helping hundreds of young men and women from impoverished backgrounds get skillsets that include work and soft social skills for better employability.
Shekar Naik Former Indian Blind Cricket Team Captain
He is an Indian blind cricketer and a former captain of the India national blind cricket team. He captained India to victories at the T20 Blind Cricket World Cup in 2012 and Blind Cricket World Cup in 2014.In 2017, the Government of India announced that Naik will receive Padma Shri, the country’s fourth highest civilian honor.
