RAIPUR: The Montessori students of govt. school khamariya where the kids were craving for basic needs of amusement, Team BTG of GMR Chhattisgarh Energy Ltd (GCEL) has identified the needs and deliberated to bring to smiles on the face of innocent kids. It is note-worthy that in coordination with school management the requisite steel structured materials like 24 desks for class 1st to 5th, See-Saw & two sitter swings were fabricated and installed by the BTG team of GCEL using internal resources of the plant. Most optimally used resources put to best use amongst school children.
The items were planned to bestow under the grand function on 21.12.2016 supervised by team GMR Varalakshmi foundation. The COO, Ravi Shanker S, O&M head Sandeep Pachpore and other distinguished officers of GCEL accompanied by villagers and school management were witnessed the function. COO in consort with O&M head and Sarpanch of Khamariya Nem Singh Katariya, inaugurated the function by lighting of lamp with breaking coconut at the school.
GCEL team also donated 3 nos. of ceiling fans for use in class rooms and arranged to repair & repainting of all black boards of the school. 100 blankets and other class room accessories were distributed to all the students of the school under this program
Speaking on the occasion Ravi Shanker assured all possible help to the villages in the initiative and called upon the villagers at large to encourage all kids in the family to attend school to ensure minimum basic education for all. These initiatives are improving the infrastructural requirement of the village school praised by Nem Singh Khataria on the occasion.
The school management lauded the efforts of BTG team of GCEL for this initiative in general improvement of the school.
