Bhavna Sethi is a CSR practitioner. She is a corporate professional with over 15 years of work experience in UK and India, across industries and domains especially in the field of Corporate Affairs, Reputation Management, Business Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. She has unique expertise in the area of Advocacy and Outreach with respect to Businesses as well as Societal Pursuits.
She majored in English Literature from Miranda House, Delhi University and is an MBA from Sunderland Business School, UK with a dual specialization in Societal Marketing and Integrated Communications. An adept Communicator, Columnist and Activist is passionately involved in the realm of Public Policies, Social Development and Sustainability in India.
In the past, she has had the privilege of associating with leading organizations of the world viz. WHO, USFDA, NHS, United Nations as well as working with global brands such as Hewlett Packard, Nissan and reputed Indian Business Houses. She has proactively associated with several Central Public Sector Enterprises, Multi National Companies, Large Indian Business Houses, Medium Enterprises and Non Governmental Organizations in mainstreaming Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility practices while maintaining a balance between business objectives and societal imperatives.
Her hard core scientific and research temperament, has helped companies in augmenting corporate relations, robust operational support, resource mobilization, public policy documentation, communication and sustainability pursuits making a meaningful impact in their respective eco-systems. She is a proponent of value based “Corporate citizenship” and business sustenance based on balancing the dynamics between profits, people and the planet (the triple bottom-line ) i.e. business, society and environment. She has been a panelist at various industry forums (CII/FICCI/ASSOCHAM/ AIMA) and on advisory capacity to social enterprises and venture philanthropy networks. On the personal front, she is spiritual and has an incredible zest for life! She loves her work and is passionate about preserving our country’s awe inspiring legacy of tradition, literature, art and culture.
