There was a time when conversations about India’s future were largely conversations about young people rather than with them.

The vocabulary was familiar: aspiration, employment, education, opportunity, responsibility. Young Indians were spoken about as a demographic, a market and, occasionally, as a promise waiting to be fulfilled.

That relationship is changing.

Across India’s cities—and increasingly from the screens of its smallest towns—a younger generation is asking more complicated questions. What constitutes success? Who gets to define identity? Can technology create opportunity without deepening inequality? What does leadership mean when influence can be built without an office, a political position or even a conventional career?

Those questions found a public stage atNDTV YUVA 2026 in Mumbai, under the theme “Young Voices, Bold Dialogues.”

What makes the platform meaningful is not simply the presence of recognisable names. It is the range of conversations being placed within the same frame: sport alongside entrepreneurship, entertainment alongside identity, technology alongside public life, and personal ambition alongside questions about the society young Indians are inheriting.

At the centre of that ecosystem is ITW Universe, thepresenting  partner of the movement —helping shape a platform where different voices can meet, intersect and move the conversation forward.

For ITW Universe, aplatform of this nature is not merely about putting people on a stage. It is about creating the connective tissue between conversations that are often treated as separate. We are All About People

A discussion about sport can become a conversation about resilience. A conversation about creators can open questions around culture, opportunity and influence. A dialogue on artificial intelligence can quickly become a discussion about work, access, responsibility and the future. Entrepreneurship can move beyond valuation and growth into a conversation about purpose, jobs and the communities businesses ultimately serve.

That is the value of curation: not simply deciding who speaks, but creating an environment in which one conversation can naturally lead to another.

Young India does not necessarily experience life in neatly separated categories.

A creator can also be an entrepreneur. An athlete can become a commentator. A business founder can become a social voice. A young professional can be simultaneously concerned about technology, mental wellbeing, civic life, climate, food and public affairs.

The old categories are becoming increasingly porous.

And that makes the question of India’s youth far more complicated than simply asking what young Indians want.

The more interesting question is what kind of country they are trying to build while pursuing those aspirations.

That is where a youth platform becomes more than a celebration of achievement. It becomes a space for listening.

AtNDTV YUVA, conversations around emerging technology can sit alongside discussions about identity and public life. Sport can become a language for resilience and discipline. Entertainment can become a lens through which representation is examined. Entrepreneurship can become a conversation about ambition, responsibility and the changing meaning of work.

The common thread is not a single ideology or a single answer. It is the willingness to ask better questions.

A platform for young India must also make room for uncertainty.

The young person trying to build a company and the one trying to find a first job may have very different lives. The athlete recovering from failure and the creator building an audience from a bedroom may inhabit entirely different worlds. Yet they share a common condition: they are navigating a country changing faster than many of its traditional institutions.

That transition deserves conversation—not because young people always have the answers, but because they are increasingly living with the consequences of decisions being made today.

This is also where ITW Universe’s role asthe presenting  partner  becomes significant within the larger event narrative. By supporting and curating a platform that brings voices from different walks of life into one flow, ITW Universe helps create the conditions for dialogue rather than simply spectacle.

The strongest events are not remembered only for who appeared on stage. They are remembered for the questions they leave behind.

What will artificial intelligence mean for opportunity? Can visibility become meaningful influence? What does success look like beyond a title, a salary or a follower count? How should young citizens participate in the public life of a rapidly changing country? And how do we build a future where ambition does not have to come at the cost of empathy?

These are not questions with one-line answers. They are conversations worth continuing.

The humanitarian dimension of a youth platform lies precisely here. Discover.itwuniverse.com

Behind every statistic about India’s young population is an individual negotiating expectation, uncertainty, ambition and belonging. There is a student trying to understand a changing job market. A first-generation entrepreneur trying to build something without a roadmap. An athlete learning to live with both victory and disappointment. A creator trying to turn a voice into a livelihood. A young citizen simply trying to understand where they fit into a rapidly evolving society.

When these experiences are brought into the same room, the conversation becomes more human.

NDTV YUVA 2026 therefore arrives at an interesting moment in India’s story. Young people are no longer waiting forinstitutions to tell them what the future should look like. They are building businesses, communities, audiences, careers and cultural movements of their own.

The role of a platform is to give that energy context, visibility and space for exchange.

With “Young Voices, Bold Dialogues” as its guiding idea, NDTV YUVA 2026 creates that space—and with ITW Universe as Title Sponsor, the event’s larger architecture reflects an effort to connect diverse perspectives rather than place them in isolated boxes.

The real story, then, is not that young India has finally been given a microphone.

Young India has already been speaking—in classrooms, boardrooms, stadiums, studios, start-ups, social feeds and communities across the country.

The more important question is whether the rest of the country is willing to listen.

Because the future of India will not be shaped only by the people who have traditionally occupied the stage.

It will also be shaped by the generation that is now stepping onto it.
