MUMBAI: WNS (Holdings) Limited, a leading provider of global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, has been honored with the ‘Alpha Social Responsibility Award‘ for exceptional contribution to under-privileged communities, within the auspices of the WNS Cares Foundation (WCF). The award, instituted by the Alpha Group of Institutions, was presented to WNS by The Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr. K. Rosaiah in a ceremony held at the Alpha Arts & Science College, Chennai, on March, 20, 2012.
WCF has won this prestigious award for its commitment and responsiveness to the needs of different stakeholders, development of innovative models to fulfill social responsibilities and the integration of CSR concerns within corporate functioning.

This award is dedicated to all our 22,000 employees, who have worked persistently to make our vision come to life,” added Keshav.
With the aim of creating a better and sustainable future for under-privileged children and youth, WCF has impacted the lives of more than 23,000 beneficiaries, working closely with 39 schools across 17 locations within India and international locations, in the last one year since its inception. With its committed leadership and a motivated workforce, WCF has successfully launched more than 12 programs along with 21 libraries in these schools, and invested over 15,500 employee-volunteering hours through regular programs and school visits. Some of the key projects launched by WCF include: promoting computer- aided literacy through launch of computer centers; encouraging reading activities through libraries, dictionary and newspaper based programs; outdoor educational trips; sporting events; personality development workshops; and E-mentoring program.
