BHUBANEWSWAR: As a part of their efforts to encourage, promote and preserve unique tribal art and culture for its development and to bring local hidden talent for public attention, Utkal Alumina International Limited, the flagship company of Aditya Birla Group, had organized a two day ,, Dhimsa Nrutya Utsav “ Ama Nurtya Ama Sanskruti” at it’s Nupada Town ship in Tikiri in the district of Rayagada.
In this cultural extravaganza more than 19 local Dhimsa troop performed their dance. On the inaugural day K Siva Subramani, SP, Rayagada, inaugurated the programme as Chief Guest. Padmasree Haldhar Nag, eminent poet attended as Guest of Honor in presence N Nagesh, Unit Head & President, Raghunatha Prathari, VP- HR, Rakesha Mishra, Sr. Gm-Admin. Subramani ,SP Rayagda encouraged local artists and applauded the efforts of Utkal Alumina for bringing hidden talents to public domino further in his speech he spoke I have seen for preserving Culture Govt. is taking steps but I am astonished Utkal Alumina an industry is making such grand function for preserving local culture I am observed first time in life he thanked Utkal Alumina Management for organizing such grand function.
Padmsree Haldhar Nag, also given his blessings to artist and given thanks to the Organizing Committee. On this occasion Unit Head of Utkal N Nagesh felicitated MrHaldhar Nag by covering him a (Utariya). The SP, K Siva Subramani, too felicitated him by handing over a citation praising his contribution to society for enriching culture .
On the final day Ghua Punam Tapas Kumar, Collector & District Magistrate attended as Chief Guest and given away the prizes to winners of Ama Nurty Ama Sanskrut-2017. Poonam appreciated the efforts of Utkal Alumina for preserving the traditional culture and finding the hidden talent. She also appreciated Utkal Alumina Management for organizing such huge cultural programme since many years.
In this occasion Collector Rayagada Planted a tree near the venue as symbol of preserving nature. N Nagesh, Unit Head & President, Utkal Alumina while addressing the gathering assured the public that, Utkal Alumina will continue to organize such activity in future with all spirit and we will take further steps to preserve the culture. He also said that this tribal danceis becoming more and more popular in public day by day.
Along with Dhemsa (by KAITA, Jeypore), other dance forms of Odisha like Odissi, Sambalpuri and Kela Keluni (by Kala Vikash Kendra, Cuttack), Pasumukha (by Sri Sri Chaitanya Nityananda Anusthana, Ganjam) and Ghumura (by Mahaveer Sanskrutika Anusthana, Bhawanipatna) were performed on the stage. Along with employees and their family members more than 3000 local villagers witnessed the programme and praised the efforts of company for organizing such cultural extravaganza since many years. The entire progarmme was effectively coordinated by CSR and Administration team of Utkal Alumina.
