The second consultation draft of the UNDP SDG Impact Standards for Enterprises is finally out. These Standards fill a gap required to facilitate corporate contribution to sustainable development.
They guide companies on how to integrate impact on sustainable development into practice, policy, decision making and governance. (Identifying material sustainable development issues and impacts on them is a prerequisite for identifying effect on value creation)
The consultation questions are at https://lnkd.in/gHtbA5Z Let us know how this draft can be improved to help the UNDP achieve its ambition of seeing the world radically changed for good as integrator of the SDGs.
The SDG Impact Standards for Enterprises are impact management standards designed to promote sustainable development and advance Enterprises’ contributions towards achieving the SDGs. We hope Enterprises of all types, sizes and focus will begin to integrate the processes embedded in the Standards into their practice. We
welcome your participation in the consultation process.
The consultation process meets the UNDP Principles for social and environmental standards.
The SDG Impact Standards for Enterprises will undergo a total of two rounds of public consultation. This second period is open from 31 March until 31 May 2021. A summary of the feedback on the first public consultation round and how we responded is here, UNDP said.
The SDG Impact engagement plan seeks feedback from a broad range of Stakeholders, including the investment and business community, civil service organizations, organizations expert in human rights and the rights of indigenous peoples, other United Nations bodies and initiatives, academia, and relevant industry groups.
Organizations and individuals are encouraged to provide written feedback by responding to the consultation questions below. Please send all feedback or questions to: sdgimpact.standards@undp.org. Feedback responses will be made publicly available unless marked confidential.
