JODA: Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) sent a total of 41 youths of Khondbond, Joda, to participate in a three-day outdoor leadership camp at Tumung, Jamshedpur on January 9, 2017.
A programme was organised at TSRDS office to flag-off this batch, wherein Satyanarayan Nanda, Head TSRDS, Joda oriented the youths on how the programme will benefit them in developing leadership skills. This camp will continue for three days starting from January 10, 12, 2017.
Tata Steel has been organising such outdoor leadership camps in all its operational areas for engaging the youths on a regular basis.
In the camp, various activities like rock climbing, obstacle race, flying fox, rapling, point to point navigation, caving and trekking expeditions are organised with an aim to develop skills on leadership and team work among the youths.
All the activities are carried out under the guidance of experienced instructors of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF). Since the last one year, around 120 youths from Joda have participated in these outdoor leadership camps.
