India CSRBureau of Foreign Trade, Taiwan (BOFT) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) today announced its biggest and unique consumer program of the year, IT Travelers Go!, a contest open for public registration from 11th July to 9th August at www.ITTravelersGo.com.

14 Taiwan leading ICT brands such as Acer, ADATA, ASUS, BenQ, D-Link, Innergie, Mio, MSI, Optoma, PQI, Silicon Power, Thermaltake, Transcend, ZyXEL partner up with TAITRA, and sponsored a resourceful IT Travelers Kit of 17 superior ICT gadgets. The final selected 12 winners, 4 each from India, Indonesia, and Vietnam, will be equipped with these ‘Innovative, Reliable, and Worthy’ IT gadgets worth more than USD 2,500 from leading Taiwan brands.

How ingeniously each of these teams uses these gizmos and how well they demonstrate their social media skills and clout will decide the winning team at the close of a four country tour.

Admissions Open for BBA in CSR, Sustainability and ESG

The winning team stands to win a cash prize up to USD 20,000 sponsored by the organizer. The IT Travelers Go contest is a 3 nation programme, that will bring Taiwan’s most preferred ICT products to enhance the contestants’ lifestyle as they participate in this amazing 21-day all-expense paid trip.

Four of the most talented, IT savvy netizens from each country, will travel to top Asian cities like Jakarta, New Delhi, Ha Noi, and finally reach Taipei, the World’s ICT Capital, to get crowned and win the Grand Prize. BOFT will cover the entire expenses of the trip, scheduled from October 13th to November 3rd 2011.

“India is packed with software-intelligent professionals who are extremely active in the digital universe. We would like these, tech savvy social media netizens, to have a real touch and feel experience of our top class Taiwan-made ICT products.

The IT Travelers Go! is open for everybody who loves to travel and capitalize on his/her social networking skills, with an all-expenses paid trip and new age technology! Such a combination can lead to endless possibilities for engagement and re-invention.

I am extremely delighted and proud to announce this IT Travelers Go! Program with 14 Taiwan IT brands, and trust that all contestants across India will have fun and a marvellous experience throughout their engagement with the IT Travelers Go contest,” said Paul Chen, Director, Taipei World Trade Center, Mumbai.

Malaika Arora Khan, who earlier this year announced her involvement with the Taiwan Excellence 2011 India Campaign, logged on as the first India participant to the IT Travelers Go contest. She said, “The IT Travelers Go! programme is a great opportunity for Indian audiences to go on a technology-rich traverse.

It is a once in a lifetime avenue for 4 Indian participants to rub shoulders and compete with selected winners from two other Asian countries and demonstrate that India is the Best!.

I encourage all of you to go and take part in this programme with complete gusto. For the rest of India, to support the India team get crowned with the title of IT Travelers Go! in Taiwan, besides winning a very attractive cash prize of USD 20,000.”

IT Travelers Go! campaign opens a unique, exciting and creative possibility for open-minded people, regardless of their age and profile, to share their experiences in life with their friends and families.

Keeping in line with the driving thought behind Taiwan Excellence 2011 campaign, this program significantly demonstrates Taiwan’s commitment to bringing the World’s most superior ICT products closer to the consumers in India. India Intelligence + Taiwan Technology 2011 = IT for Excellent Lifestyles, is the theme of Taiwan Excellence 2011 campaign.

IT Travelers Go! program will have 3 significant waves starting from 11th July and ends on 22nd November 2011. The bulk of the first wave will be conducted on a digital platform whereby participants will enter the program by registering on a dedicated regional website www.ITTravelersGo.com, and uploading interesting, creative, personal photos, video to demonstrate individual qualities.

The final contest of Wave 1, will be conducted offline at the Inorbit mall, Vashi in Mumbai on September 17th to select the four most talented and spontaneous IT Travelers to embark on the three country journey, competing against 2 other country teams from Vietnam and Indonesia.

During the journey, the Wave 2, contestants will be provided with leading Taiwan ICT products that will help them to capture amazing moments and share their experiences immediately with their contacts in the digital space, travelers from other countries, their loved ones in their home towns, etc., in the form of posts, presentation, and blog entries.

The most creative, entertaining, and the most voted country team will be crowned and awarded USD 20,000 cash by Malaika Arora Khan and the organizer in Taipei, the home run city of this Taiwan Excellence journey. The IT Travelers will also have the opportunity to visit the headquarters of chosen Taiwan brands and discuss their hands-on experiences with the sponsored IT gadgets, with the company’s high-level management team.

The last mile of the program, Wave 3, will be used to test all homecoming contestants on their ICT product knowledge that they have gained, through their 21 day association with the Taiwan IT Travelers Go! programme.

They will play the role of Taiwan ICT Brands’ Ambassador for 3 days at E-Zone outlets, sharing and winning the hearts and preference of consumers and continue to generate voting by posting their experiences on Facebook, to be voted ‘Most Popular Guest Manager’. The IT Traveler who garners the most sales and votes will win the title of ‘Taiwan Excellence Ambassador’.

The IT Travelers Go! website will incorporate comprehensive information on the contest, rules & regulations, blog travel section, regional & local activities etc.. Log in starting July 11 2011, to be amongst the first IT Travelers of India. To register, please visit www.ITTravelersGo.com.
