Support Program for Frontline Workers in association with Elders Assist Group

BENGALURU: As part of the Support Program for Frontline Workers, a retired bank official and his working son launched an initiative for all the frontline workers in and around Koramangala 8th Block.

The initiative was organised in memory of Mrs. Nirmala Hebbar, the wife of retired banker A Chandrashekar Hebbar and mother of communications professional Prameet Hebbar, in association with Elders Assist Group.

The package included covid essentials such as sanitizers, soaps, face shields, as well as soup bites and mangoes to the frontline workers. The drive that was initiated and funded by Mr. Hebbar and his son Prameet Hebbar, was also supported by members of the Elders Assist Group of Koramangala 8th Block.

The above items were distributed to covid warrior teams who have been toiling hard during the ongoing 2nd wave.

The items were handed over to Sri. Shrikanth Joshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East Division, Sri K.B Ravi, Police Inspector, Koramangala Police Station, Sri. S Reddy, Asst Comm of Police, Traffic, South East Division, Smt Hemlatha, Police Inspector, Adugodi Traffic Police Station, Dr. Rajeshwari Adugodi(Bosch) UPHC and Dr. Rajatha Adugodi UPHC, BBMP Maternity Home Complex.

The last Project Feed the Needy reached out to over 500 families covering more than 800 individuals, in Koramangala 8th block, Ulsoor, Adugodi, Hosur Road, ST Bed area, HSR Layout and Agara lakebed near HSR layout.

The initiative- Feed the Needy was conceptualized to provide dry ration kits or food packets for daily wage workers at construction sites, migrant families, slum dwellers, pourakarmikas in few areas in Bangalore to support them in times of the lockdown and COVID -19.

Friends and family also contributed to the program – Prajna Hebbar, Namratha Rao, Leslie Fernandes, Kenneth Kaunds, Bino John, Gautam Hebbar, Bhagyachandra Shetty, Darshan Shetty, Karthik & Kiran Nair, Prashanth & Rama Krishnamurthy, Ikram, Deepak Pillai, Subhashri Suresh, Sushanth Konda Jay krishna, Suma Nair, Rashmi Nair, Social Worker Manjunath, Rizvi, Mahesh, Vinod and others.
