Spark Minda Foundation has focused its CSR work on a number of key areas, each of which helps to tackle social challenges through innovation, transformation and leadership.
NEW DELHI: Spark Minda (Ashok Minda Group), leading manufacturers of automotive components, has released its Annual Corporate Responsibility Report for the year 2020-21.
The Group implements its social projects under Spark Minda Foundation (SMF). The Foundation has focused its CSR work on a number of key areas, each of which helps to tackle social challenges through innovation, transformation and leadership.
“Corporate Social Responsibility at Spark Minda Group aims to add value to life and bring sustainable development with inclusive growth. We are committed to integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations of all our stakeholders.”, in his message in the report Group Chairman Ashok Minda said.
The report highlights the Spark Minda’s commitment to the communities, addressing the sustainable development goals (SDGs). “This year, we partnered with India Vision Foundation to take our programme Shakti to the prisons of Haryana. This project aimed to provide access to sanitary products and information to help one of the most vulnerable sections of society manage their menstrual health within prisons.”, in her message to stakeholders Sarika Minda, Chairpersion, Spark Minda Group said.
“The year 2021-22 was eventful. It was the year of getting back, collaboration and reaching more people through our work at Spark Minda Foundation. Spark Minda Foundation lives up to its value – ‘Together, We can’,”, she added.
“Corporate Social Responsibility has progressed from a primarily community-focused notion to one that includes community and business sustainability.”, company’s Head – Group CSR Praveen Karn said.
“The Spark Minda Foundation’s long-term sustainability objectives are tied to strategic social investment.”, he said.
“Through many CSR programmes in the preceding financial year, it successfully brought together like-minded partners for scale-up and sustainability”, he added.
Empowering women is one of the crucial objectives of Spark Minda CSR policy. It is said that women are the pillars of world economy. Several women empowerment initiatives have been undertaken across areas of our operation. These initiatives aim to improve literacy as well as provide training to enhance livelihood generation opportunities for them.
