New Delhi: Sona Comstar, a leading provider of automotive technology solutions, has released its first sustainability report, titled “Accelerating towards the future of mobility, sustainably”.
The report details the company’s efforts in governance, environment, and social performance, and highlights its commitment to its stakeholders and the planet. In the report, Sona Comstar outlines its plans for driving long-term value and its goals and targets under various materiality topics, including the eight United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The company has also engaged with local communities and partnered with institutions such as Ashoka University and the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer to promote education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Sona Comstar has also reported a significant increase in revenue from Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), with a share of 25% in FY22, up from 1.3% in FY19. In absolute terms, revenue from BEVs has grown 28 times to INR 5.0bn.
