SBI Reveals FY2023 Remuneration Details of Chairman and Managing Directors

NEW DELHI (India CSR): The State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest bank, has publicized the remuneration details for its Chairman and Managing Directors for the fiscal year 2023, which collectively amounted to over Rs 1.3 crores.

Dinesh Kumar Khara

Topping the list is SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara, who earned a total of Rs 0.7398 crore. His remuneration included a basic salary of Rs 0.27 crore, a Dearness Allowance (DA) of Rs 0.0999 crore, and other allowances adding up to Rs 0.3699 crore. He served as Chairman from 7th October 2020 to 6th October 2023.

Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, MD, SBI

Challa Sreenivasulu Setty

Next is Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Managing Director, who received a total of Rs 0.3629 crore. His earnings were comprised of basic pay of Rs 0.2634 crore, DA of Rs 0.0975 crore, and other benefits amounting to Rs 0.001 crore. His tenure runs from 20th January 2023 to 19th January 2025.

Swaminathan Janakiraman

Another Managing Director, Swaminathan Janakiraman, received a total of Rs 0.7158 crore, which included a basic salary of Rs 0.2612 crore, DA of Rs 0.0967 crore, and other allowances worth Rs 0.3579 crore. His term is set from 28th January 2021 to 27th January 2024.

Ashwini Kumar Tewari

Ashwini Kumar Tewari, also a Managing Director, mirrored the remuneration details of Shri Swaminathan, reflecting an identical total of Rs 0.7158 crore for the same tenure period.

Ashwani Bhatia

Ashwani Bhatia, who served a shorter term of only two months from 1st April 2022 to 31st May 2022, received a total of Rs 0.0113 crore. His remuneration package included a basic salary of Rs 0.0042 crore, DA of Rs 0.0014 crore, and other benefits amounting to Rs 0.0057 crore.

Alok Kumar Choudhary

Lastly, Alok Kumar Choudhary, who served as Managing Director from 7th June 2022 to 31st March 2023, earned a total of Rs 0.2855 crore. His compensation was made up of a basic pay of Rs 0.2067 crore, DA of Rs 0.0779 crore, and other allowances of Rs 0.0000385 crore.
