HYDERABAD: Ramky Foundation, the CSR wing of the Ramky Group of Companies has been awarded the 2nd Asia’s Best CSR Practices Award in the category of Women Empowerment. The award was presented at a glittering ceremony on 20 July 2012 at Park Royal on Kitchener Road, Singapore, which was attended by Asia’s top industrialists, bureaucrats, lawmakers and others.
Mr. Milton Ng, Director, Ramky Cleantech Services Pte Ltd., Singapore, received the award on behalf of Ramky Foundation.
The ‘Asia’s Best CSR Practices Awards’ are hosted by CMO Asia. The awards are Asia’s highest recognition of organizations that have created a significant and positive impact on the lives of people around them. The awards are given to organizations that consistently show their commitment and respect for communities, environment and people.
The award is manifestation of Ramky Foundation’s notable work in the area of Women Empowerment by means of employment generation, skills enhancement, entrepreneurship development and improving dairy sector. The organizing committee believed that such an initiative by Ramky Foundation brings ray of hope into the lives of thousands of rural women in India.
