Rs 28.95 Crore DMF Initiatives Revolutionizing Education, Healthcare, and Roads in Raigarh

RAIGARH (India CSR): In Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district, development projects worth Rs 28.95 crore under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) are reshaping public amenities. These funds are driving transformative changes in education, healthcare, and road connectivity, impacting both rural and urban areas. By addressing critical infrastructure needs, these projects are not only enhancing facilities but also uplifting the socio-economic fabric of the region, offering a brighter future for local communities.

Rs 15 Crore: Revamping Rural Road Connectivity

A substantial Rs 15 crore from the DMF fund is dedicated to constructing and upgrading roads in Raigarh’s rural and remote areas. These roads will enhance connectivity, facilitating trade, agriculture, and access to emergency services. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), seven major road projects have been approved, including:

  • Lailunga: Gehna Jharia to Labhnipara (3.60 km, Rs 2.22 crore).
  • Tamnar: Amlidhoda PMGSY Road to Samkera Gaurbahari (3.60 km, Rs 1.80 crore).
  • Patrapali-Barkaspali: 1.60 km, Rs 1.44 crore.
  • Gharghoda: Tumidih to Chharratangar (4.30 km, Rs 3.08 crore).
  • Dharamjaigarh: Saskoba Main Road to Paraghati (4 km, Rs 2.69 crore).
  • Semipali-Kondhra: 4 km, Rs 2.31 crore.
  • Kharsia: Khadgaon to Godpar Basti (2 km, Rs 1.49 crore).

These roads will boost rural economies and ensure seamless connectivity for residents.

Rs 6.01 Crore: Building New Schools for Quality Education

To strengthen the education sector, Rs 6.01 crore has been allocated for constructing new buildings for eight schools currently without proper infrastructure. Each school building, costing Rs 75.23 lakh, includes facilities in Tamnar (High School Jivri, Samarum, Mahaloi, and Dakshin Regaon), Kharsia (High School Teli Pali and Puslda), and Raigarh (High School Sampai and Regda). Additionally, Rs 1.88 crore will fund the construction of 10 classrooms in Tamnar’s Badgaon and Kachkoba (Rs 70.36 lakh), six classrooms in Pusaur’s Swami Atmanand English Medium School (Rs 48.40 lakh), and additional classrooms in Dongitarai (Rs 70 lakh). These efforts will make education more accessible and conducive for students.

Rs 6 Crore: Upgrading 137 Healthcare Centers

Healthcare services are being transformed with Rs 6 crore allocated for the upgradation of 137 health centers across Raigarh. This includes building repairs and facility enhancements. The region-wise breakdown is as follows:

  • Raigarh: 24 centers, Rs 1.24 crore.
  • Dharamjaigarh: 20 centers, Rs 1.08 crore.
  • Lailunga: 26 centers, Rs 99.65 lakh.
  • Kharsia: 20 centers, Rs 85.47 lakh.
  • Pusaur: 18 centers, Rs 83.67 lakh.
  • Gharghoda: 18 centers, Rs 46.33 lakh.
  • Tamnar: 9 centers, Rs 46.25 lakh.
  • Raigarh (Urban): 2 centers, Rs 5.50 lakh.

These upgrades will ensure better healthcare access and improved medical services for both rural and urban residents.

Rs 28.95 Crore Impact: A New Dawn for Raigarh

The Rs 28.95 crore DMF projects are proving to be a game-changer for Raigarh’s socio-economic development. Sourced from mining activities, these funds are being strategically utilized by the district administration to prioritize education, healthcare, and infrastructure. The initiatives are bridging the gap between urban and rural areas, fostering inclusive growth across the district.

The Road Ahead: Sustained Development

The completion of these Rs 28.95 crore projects is set to redefine Raigarh’s future. Local residents have expressed optimism about the positive changes these initiatives are bringing to their lives. The district administration is committed to completing these projects on time and plans to leverage additional DMF funds for further community welfare, ensuring sustained development for years to come.
