Union Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, announced this achievement through a post on X today, highlighting the nationwide participation in this green initiative.
The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day, June 5, 2024.
The campaign encourages every citizen to plant a tree in honor of their mother, contributing to a healthier planet and promoting sustainable development. The Prime Minister’s call to action has resonated across the country, leading to the massive plantation drive that has now crossed the 52 crore mark.
