RAIPUR (India CSR): NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power company, has announced an ambitious plan to attain a total installed capacity of 130 GW by 2032. In line with this, NTPC is inviting applications for the position of Chief Forest Officer. It would be the level of Executive Director to be appointed on deputation basis. The successful candidate will be appointed for a tenure of three years, which may be extendable up to five years, and will receive pay and perks in line with the parent organization.

The position of Executive Director for Chief Forest Officer in NTPC Limited is an excellent opportunity for experienced Addl. Director General (State) or Jt. Secretary level (Central) under the Indian Forest Service to play a key role in assisting NTPC’s ambitious plan to attain a total installed capacity of 130 GW by 2032.

Admissions Open for BBA in CSR, Sustainability and ESG

The Executive Director will be responsible for the role of Chief Forest Officer and will assist various projects, stations, coal mining sites, hydro projects, and other group companies in obtaining various clearances, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and liaising with the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

The incumbent will also oversee afforestation initiatives across various regions and sites of NTPC Ltd and other group companies, including joint ventures.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the role, candidates must be serving as an Addl. Director General (State) or Jt. Secretary level (Central) under the Indian Forest Service and must be under 55 years of age. They must also possess extensive knowledge of existing land acquisition acts and procedures, various state laws, and regulations related to obtaining clearances from the appropriate authorities.

It is important to note that only Indian nationals are eligible to apply, and all qualifications must be from universities or institutions recognized and approved in India. Candidates must also upload a copy of NOC from the present employer along with the copy of the last five years’ ACRs and Vigilance Clearance.

Candidates are required to possess a valid email ID, and it is mandatory that eligible candidates go through the full text of the advertisement and agree to all the conditions given while applying for the post.
