KORBA: NTPC Korba in Chhhattisgarh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community development activities in association with Maitri Mahila Samiti, started three months Bakery, cake and chocolate making for ladies and computer operator training programme in the august presence of Nibedita Basu, President, Maitri Mahila Samiti (MMS) on 12th February 2021 under skill development programme at village Lata.
Training will be imparted by Chhattisgarh Center for Entrepreneurship Development, Korba and duration of both training programme will be three months. Addressing the trainees of both the training programme Smt Basu said day by day we are moving towards modernization and our food habits are also changing accordingly.
Nowadays there is good demand for bakery, cake and chocolate products in the market. Understanding the need of this changing scenario NTPC Korba under its CSR activity took the initiative to start this training programme and one can make his small business or can work in the bakery factory and get employment.
Similarly addressing the unemployed youth Smt Basu said, we are living in the age of information technology so everybody should have the knowledge of basic computer application, so understanding the need of the hour NTPC Korba under its CSR activity took this initiative for the betterment of young unemployed youth of its associate villages.
It is to mention that three months back NTPC Korba imparted Oyster Mushroom cultivation training to the housewives of village Dhanras, Salihabhatha and Ghamota and by the help of this training one hundred twenty ladies of 12 Self Help Groups are self employed and earning using their leisure time after regular home work.
Earlier other self employment oriented training programme Sewing and embroidery was started in village Gopalpur for ladies.
