NEW DELHI (India CSR): NRB Bearings Limited, a mobility and precision engineering components company, spent Rs 2.20 crore on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in FY 2025-26, supporting education, skill development, healthcare, environmental sustainability and community development projects, according to the company’s 61st Annual Report.
The annual report states that the company’s average net profit for the preceding three financial years was Rs 109.86 crore. Based on the statutory requirement under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, its CSR obligation for the year was Rs 2.19 crore. NRB Bearings reported total CSR spending of Rs 2.20 crore, resulting in an excess spend of Rs 26,000 available for set-off in future years. The report states that there was no unspent CSR amount for the year.
CSR Spending
Education received a major share of the company’s CSR spending in FY26. The company supported projects related to higher education, public school education, vocational training and rural school transformation. The report highlights partnerships with Ashoka University, IIT-Bombay, Aseema Charitable Trust, The Akanksha Foundation, The Apprenticeship Project, 321 Education Foundation and Gyan Prakash Foundation.
NRB Bearings also supported healthcare and community welfare projects through organisations such as Goonj, Indian Cancer Society and Rotary Club of Bombay Charities Trust No. 3.

Education Support
The company provided Rs 40 lakh to Ashoka University in Haryana to support higher education for four students from marginalised backgrounds through full scholarship support. It also contributed Rs 22 lakh to the IIT-Bombay Racing Car Project, supporting 90 individuals. According to the report, 45% of the beneficiaries in this project were from vulnerable or marginalised groups.
In Mumbai, NRB Bearings gave Rs 28 lakh to Aseema Charitable Trust for value-based education for children from marginalised communities. The project covered three municipal schools and benefited 131 children. The Akanksha Foundation received Rs 20 lakh for its School Project at Abhyudaya Nagar, Mumbai, benefiting 3,615 students.
Skilling Projects
The company supported vocational and employment-linked learning initiatives during the year. The Apprenticeship Project received Rs 15 lakh for vocational development in Mumbai, benefiting 1,000 girls from vulnerable backgrounds.
NRB Bearings also contributed Rs 20 lakh to 321 Education Foundation for vocational training across Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The project reached 2,000 students and 55 teachers. In Jalna, Maharashtra, the company gave Rs 19.50 lakh to Gyan Prakash Foundation for competency-based education transformation in rural government schools. The project reached 11,464 students and 436 teachers.
Healthcare Work
Healthcare formed another important part of the company’s CSR work. NRB Bearings contributed Rs 30 lakh to Goonj for healthcare initiatives across villages in India, reaching 4,111 families. The company also provided Rs 13 lakh to Indian Cancer Society in Mumbai to support 38 cancer survivors and train 100 counsellors at two ACT clinic locations.
The Rotary Club of Bombay Charities Trust No. 3 received Rs 10 lakh for social business projects in Talwada. The report states that the initiative supported healthcare and related services for 18,233 patients, with 90% beneficiaries from vulnerable and marginalised groups.
Environment Focus
NRB Bearings contributed Rs 2.50 lakh to WWF-India for environmental sustainability, protection of flora and fauna and animal welfare. The report also mentions broader environmental measures by the company, including energy savings and emission reduction efforts, which support its stated goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
CSR Oversight
The CSR Committee monitored policy implementation and project progress during the year. The committee was chaired by Harshbeena Zaveri and included Satish Rangani and Jayavardhan Diwan. The report states that Jayavardhan Diwan was appointed to the committee on March 30, 2026, following the retirement of Ashank Desai.
NRB Bearings said its CSR work is aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013. The FY26 spending shows a focus on education access, skilling, preventive healthcare, community support and environmental sustainability.
