A Nobel Laureate will speak at the Pt Jawaharlal Nehru National Education Conclave in Chhattisgarh.
Nobel Laureate Dr. Abhijit Banerjee will virtually address the first time in the province at the Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru National Education Conclave.
Dr. Abhijeet Banerjee, a Nobel Laureate who has done an outstanding job in the fields of education and society, will address the first time in the province at the Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru National Education Conclave.
Banerjee will give a talk about his latest and experimental research into the state’s innovative educational practices in addition to economics. Starting on Sunday, November 14, 2021, the two-day conclave would serve as a platform for sharing innovations being made in various parts of the country in the field of school education.
Former union cabinet minister Salman Khurshid will be the chief guest for the inaugural event, while Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel will be the chief guest. The innovative ideas proposed by Chhattisgarh teachers will be shared with educationists and teachers from other states, enabling them to replicate the same concepts in their respective states.
In addition, there will be talks on topics such as Reimagining the School of Tomorrow, Professional Education and Entrepreneurship Mindset for the 21st Century, The Future of Online Learning, Teachers as Leaders, Governance Reforms at a Glance, and Strengthening Early Years Inclusion in Class Room. The location of the exhibition will host a series of exhibits highlighting the state’s latest achievements in the field of education.
On Friday, the school education secretary will do a briefing on the state’s education system in the first session of the project. Besides, the film will feature various innovative endeavors undertaken by Chhattisgarh’s teachers in difficult times, as well as the school vision 2030. On day two of the conference, guests will be treated to some excellent schools, lessons learned from the corona pandemic in education, and large-scale governance reform initiatives.
A national-level education conference is being organized for the first time in Chhattisgarh to mark the occasion of Children’s Day.
In this mega event, an extensive exhibition of educational innovations and activities being conducted in the state and across the country will be organized. Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel will be the chief guest of this event. Besides, Nobel laureate Dr. Abhijit Banerjee, along with the eminent educationists from across the country Biraj Patnaik, Narayanan Ramaswamy, Dr. Dhir Jhingran, Yamini Iyer, Rukmini Banerjee, Mekin Maheshwari, Rishikesh BS, Mitakshara Kumari have confirmed their participation in the programme.
Educationist Dr. Dhir Jhingran reached Raipur on Friday to attend the National Education Conference. He lauded the works done in the direction of digital literacy in Chhattisgarh. In this conference, the educationists from various states will provide information about their works and innovations in the education sector, providing us an opportunity to learn and understand.
Dr. Dhir Jhingran is the founding director of the Language and Learning Foundation. This organization works for improving the basic education of children in government primary schools.
National Foundation of India executive director Biraj Patnaik will also be attending the ‘Shiksha Samagam’ program. His organization has established Mitanin Community Health Worker Program in India. Narayanan Ramaswamy, another reputed educationist to attend the Shiksha Samagam programme, is a national leader working in the field of education and skill development. Presently, he is providing education, skill development, and social sector counseling services. His team, under the leadership of Sri Narayanan Ramaswamy, is working in the Middle East and African regions including India, countries involved in the SAARC organization.
Yamini Iyer is the chairperson of Center for Policy Research, New Delhi. Her organization is a think tank in public policy research. Rukmini Banerjee is the chief executive officer of Pratham Education Foundation. She has been instrumental in designing and supporting partnerships to improve children’s learning outcomes.
