NEW DELHI (India CSR): During the Rising Rajasthan Investor Meet held in New Delhi, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Rajasthan. The agreement focuses on the development of 25 GW of renewable energy (RE) projects across the state.
A Major Step Towards Renewable Energy Expansion
The MoU was exchanged between Shri K S Sundaram, Director (Projects) at NGEL, and Shri Alok (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Government of Rajasthan. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Rajasthan’s Hon’ble Chief Minister, further underlining the state’s commitment to becoming a renewable energy hub.

Rajasthan’s vast solar and wind potential makes it a prime location for large-scale renewable energy projects. With this 25 GW initiative, NGEL is poised to significantly contribute to India’s renewable energy targets, aligning with the national goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.
