This World Environment Day, RECITY as part of Project Hilldaari has released a musical Audiovisual (AV), created by Manzil Mystics, a young folk fusion band aiming at creating awareness on plastic waste and its effective management.
Through its lyrics, awareness is created about not littering waste and the significance of segregating dry and wet waste at source while promoting a plastic waste-free environment.
Hilldaari is a movement initiated by RECITY with support from Nestlé India to effectively implement an integrated solid waste management plan in Mussoorie.
Sanjay Khajuria, Director – Corporate Affairs of Nestlé India said, “The Hilldaari AV represents the collective objective to spread awareness and evangelize support for a better tomorrow. It aims at highlighting the efforts of people to make a difference and create a sustainable environment.”
“The AV aims to be a breeze of hope, love and care for the hills. It is our endeavour to engage with people and bring about a behavioural change about the need for disposing plastic waste responsibly.”, he said.
Over the last few months, various stakeholders including the Mussoorie Nagar Palika Parishad, waste workers, citizen groups, various local associations, local media channels and organisations have worked together on initiatives including ‘2 Minute Safaike Naam’ and will continue to work towards making cities and hill stations plastic waste-free.
