रायगढ़ (छत्तीसगढ़)। महाराष्ट्र राज्य पावर जनरेशन कंपनी लिमिटेड (महाजेनको) की महत्वाकांक्षी गारे पल्मा सेक्टर-II (जीपी-II) कोल ब्लॉक परियोजना से रायगढ़ जिले के 14 गांवों के करीब 4000 परिवारों को करोड़ों रुपये का मुआवजा मिलने का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो गया है।

कंपनी के अनुसार भूमि मालिकों को प्रति एकड़ 35 लाख रुपये का मुआवजा दिया जाएगा। लगभग 2000 हेक्टेयर निजी भूमि के अधिग्रहण के लिए 2435 करोड़ रुपये के पुनर्वास एवं पुनर्स्थापन पैकेज की घोषणा की गई है। इसके अलावा प्रभावित परिवारों को रोजगार और सीएसआर योजनाओं से भी लाभ होगा।

परियोजना के तहत हर साल 2.36 करोड़ टन कोयला उत्पादन का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इस कोयले से महाराष्ट्र की चंद्रपुर (1000 मेगावाट), कोराडी (1980 मेगावाट) और पारली (250 मेगावाट) थर्मल इकाइयों को आपूर्ति होगी। इससे राष्ट्रीय ग्रिड को 3200 मेगावाट से अधिक बिजली उपलब्ध कराई जा सकेगी।

महाजेनको ने कहा है कि परियोजना से 3400 प्रत्यक्ष और हजारों अप्रत्यक्ष रोजगार सृजित होंगे। कंपनी 7500 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश करेगी और खदान के जीवनकाल में राज्य व केंद्र सरकारों को करीब 30,000 करोड़ रुपये रॉयल्टी, जीएसटी और अन्य करों के रूप में देगी।

पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए कंपनी 32 वर्षों में 2256.60 हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र में 56.4 लाख स्थानीय पौधे लगाने की योजना पर काम कर रही है।

कंपनी ने दावा किया, गांवों में उत्साह का माहौल है। कई ग्रामीण मुआवजा मिलने के बाद नए व्यवसाय और आवास योजनाओं पर काम करना शुरू कर चुके हैं। हाल में सात गांवों के प्रतिनिधियों ने जिला प्रशासन से भूमि अधिग्रहण प्रक्रिया शीघ्र शुरू करने की मांग भी की थी।
