CHITTORGARH: Wonder Cement Limited celebrated the World Environment Day at Nimbahera with a grand Function in which around 350 Staff members, workmen & children participated. The function was chaired by our President S.M.Joshi, Joint President C S Sharma & Chief Guest Regional Officer (Rajasthan State Pollution Control Bboard), Chittorgarh Naveen Vyas and B.S.Tanwar (Rtd. Chief Engineer & President – Arawali Water & Environment Seva Sansthan Chittorgarh).
Plantation program was carried out at the mine lease area premises by Chief Guests and 101 neem trees were planted.
At the outset K. A. Shah (GM-Environment) gave the welcome speech and environmental Oath was conducted. Pradeep Kumar Jain, HOD (QC) then briefed the audience about the effort made by Wonder Cement towards Environmental Protection.
Naveen Vyas addressed the gathering and explained the importance of environment Day Celebration to save the Environment by every individual. He also appreciated the Environment Protection Program conducted by WCL & said that ‘’Wonder Cement is the Ideal for Other Cement Industries in Chittorgarh’’.
S. M. Joshi addressed the gathering & focused on this year’s Theme – CONNECTING PEOPLE WITH NATURE and Environment conservation, sustaining the environment for new generation and better future.
To generate the awareness towards the environment amongst our employees, children & workmen, various competitions were organized. Poster making, essay writing and slogan writing were organized for workmen and children, and speech competition was organized for the employees.
