JAJPUR: Vigilance Awareness Week was flagged off at Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), the only public sector company in Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex in Odisha’s Jajpur District, on 28th October with the theme being “Promoting Good Governance –Positive Contribution by Vigilance”.
The week, which concludes on 2nd November, commenced with employees taking pledge collectively to promote good governance. The pledge was administered by Managing Director Sri P.K. Mishra, Director-Finance Sri S.P. Padhi and Jt. MD Sri G.S. Gill wherein other senior officials including Executive Director (HR/IR) Sri C.K. Podder were present. Including NINL office at Bhubaneswar and Paradip, different departments of NINL like HRM, Sinter Plant, Power Plant, SMS, Blast Furnace etc. also organized pledge taking ceremonies separately at their respective offices.
On 29.10.2013, the HRM personnel gathered at the office of ED (HR/IR) and took the pledge, followed by inspiring speech by Shri C.K. Podder, Shri R.K. Behera (AGM, HRM) and other senior officers. Vigilance department has planned to organize a number of vigilance awareness activities in the week like essay, slogan and debate competitions among the employees.
