ANGUL: Industrialist and Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) celebrated his birthday amongst the workers and employees of JSPL’s Angul unit.
JSPL’s MD & CEO Ravi Uppal, Executive Director & Location Head DK Saraogi, Chief Technology Officer Sabyasachi Bandopadhyaya, Executive Director Jona Pillay, Executive Director (Projects) Bharat Rohra, thousands of employees and workers along with their family members wished him good health and long life on his birth day.
Jindal also offered Puja at Hanuman ji temple inside the plant and had an interaction with Students of OP Jindal School.
Jindal dedicated the second Mobile Cold Drinking Water Facility at the service of the community members. The customised vehicle of 500 Ltr capacity, an Initiative of JSPL Foundation, will be used to dispense safe drinking water to the villagers of nearby villages of JSPL’s Angul Plant round the year.
Jindal Steel & Power Ltd also celebrated the day as ‘Fitness Day’ across all its operational units across Odisha. At Angul, a mega health camp was organised for the local community by JSPL Foundation. The community members availed free consultation services in General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics health care and received free medicines, based on prescription.
More than 300 people from the neighbouring villages attended the camp, which was organised in collaboration with District Health Administration and Lions International Club. The Foundation distributed fruits, sweet and food packets among 100 inmates of Adruta Children Home, Angul.
Jindal Closely interacted with thousands of factory workers throughout the plant area. About 10000 workers and employees were served a delicious Lunch, which was organised to mark the occasion.
The ‘Fitness Day’ observation is also included an Yoga Camp at TRB Iron Ore Mines, Tensa. The employees and workers of JSPL Barbil Unit celebrated Jindal’s birthday with distribution of Sweets and Chocolates among children in local areas.
At Bhubaneswar, all employees celebrated Jindal’s birth day wishing notes of success and prosperity for Jindal and the Company. Secretary of JSPL Foundation, Prashant Kumar Hota served food and snacks packets to the children of Mission Ashra, Bhubaneswar.
