The Brillio STEM Program puts science and technology into action for students in more than 26 states
MUMBAI/LEH (India CSR) – The National STEM Challenge 2025 has marked a historic milestone by welcoming a STEM team from Leh, Ladakh, for the first time in its journey. The participation of young innovators from India’s northernmost region brings fresh perspectives and underscores the event’s mission to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education in every corner of the country.
STEM Learning Across India’s Geographic Extremes
Organized by Brillio in partnership with STEM Learning, the National STEM Challenge 2025 brings together over 2,500 students from 500+ schools across 26 states. The finale, scheduled for 18 August 2025 at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai, will feature some of India’s brightest minds competing in science model-making, tinkering, and engineering challenges.
The inclusion of the Leh, Ladakh team is a symbol of how STEM outreach has reached even the most remote Himalayan schools, proving that innovation knows no boundaries of altitude or climate.

A Journey from the Mountains to Mumbai
For the students of Leh, participating in a national-level STEM competition required weeks of preparation and overcoming logistical challenges. Supported by local educators and community leaders, these students will showcase projects that combine modern engineering concepts with solutions inspired by Ladakh’s unique environment and lifestyle.
This initiative served as a stepping stone for teams from remote regions to enter competitions like the National STEM Challenge.
