MUMBAI (India CSR): Over 7,500 students from across Mumbai came together to solve real-world challenges at Kalpadarsh – A Showcase of Creativity, marking the grand finale of the Mumbai Hackathon 2025. The event celebrated young innovators who designed 90+ groundbreaking solutions to address urban issues such as waste management, traffic congestion, public health, and environmental sustainability.
Organized by Pi Jam Foundation, in collaboration with the Mumbai Dabbawalas and Nomura Services India, this city-wide initiative aimed to equip students with 21st-century problem-solving skills and encourage them to create technology-driven and grassroots solutions for Mumbai’s pressing challenges.
A Movement for Change Through Innovation
Launched in September 2024, the Mumbai Hackathon encouraged students from government schools and underprivileged backgrounds to think critically and innovate. With an overwhelming 7,500+ submissions, the event proved to be a testament to the power of education and creativity.
“The participation in the Mumbai Hackathon has been incredible,” said Pranjali Pathak, spokesperson for Pi Jam Foundation. “Students have demonstrated exceptional technical skills, responsibility, and creativity. Technology Meets Grassroots Problem-Solving
Students leveraged Pi Jam’s Code Mitra app, an innovative, gamified learning platform, to design and develop their solutions. A specialized module, created in partnership with Mumbai’s iconic Dabbawalas, helped students identify critical issues in the city and explore feasible solutions.
