KHOPOLI, MAHARASHTRA: In a landmark collaboration for global education, one of the world’s most-followed content creators, Jimmy Donaldson (known globally as MrBeast), has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art school facility in Khopoli. Partnering with the national impact organisation Yuva Unstoppable, the project transformed the Enlighten International School from a cramped old school into a future-ready learning hub.

Global Inspiration, Local Transformation

Admissions Open for BBA in CSR, Sustainability and ESG

While the impact in India is profound, this project is a part of MrBeast’s broader mission. Worldwide, he has built 10 schools across four continents, including Ghana and Guatemala, to provide clean water, free meals, and safe infrastructure, fundamentally changing the lives of over 18,000 students.

The Khopoli project is a cornerstone of MrBeast’s ambitious “10 Schools Worldwide” initiative, a philanthropic mission documented for his hundreds of millions of followers. After a rigorous due diligence process by their global entity, MrBeast identified the urgent need in Maharashtra, where local students were persevering despite severely limited infrastructure and shortlisted Yuva Unstoppable as their implementation partner.

From Six Classrooms to Three Storeys

Before the intervention, 400 students were squeezed into just six small classrooms. The overcrowding made focused learning nearly impossible for both teachers and pupils.

Today, that struggle is a thing of the past. The brand-new, massive three-storey building provides:

  •  Dedicated Space: Every child now has a dedicated desk and chair, ensuring a dignified environment for concentration.
  • Modern Infrastructure: Well-ventilated classrooms designed to support a better learning environment, meeting the global standards.
  •  Enhanced Capacity: The vertical expansion allows for future growth, ensuring more children from the Khopoli region can access quality education.

Reflecting on the initiative, Amitabh Shah, founder of Yuva Unstoppable remarked:

“Doing good is fun and MrBeast shows us how! We deeply appreciate MrBeast’s vision. Our collaboration transcends infrastructure. By replacing cramped rooms with a modern three-storey facility, we are providing India’s children with a dignified, world-class environment they deserve to contribute towards Viksit Bharat.”

Safety First: The New School Bus

Perhaps the most emotional highlight of the project is the introduction of a brand-new school bus. Previously, many students, particularly young girls, were forced to walk over an hour each way. These journeys often took place in the dark on dangerous rural roads, posing significant safety risks.

Ninth-grader Sanvi Kaulas Khandagale marvelled: “The new bus is the best part! I used to walk an hour in the dark just to get here. Now, I arrive at school safe, happy, and ready to learn.”

A Blueprint for Change

This project serves as more than just a building; it is a blueprint for how strategic partnerships between global influencers and national NGOs like Yuva Unstoppable can solve systemic challenges.

Vandana Surendra Shinde, Principal, Enlighten International School, expressed her gratitude: “On behalf of our entire school, we express our heartfelt gratitude to MrBeast and Mr. Amitabh Shah. Your generous project of our new building provides a safe, comfortable environment where our children can truly thrive.”

By combining MrBeast’s massive reach and funding with local expertise, the initiative has fundamentally changed the life trajectory for 400 families in Maharashtra.

Yuva Unstoppable’s Brief Description:

After completing his Master’s degree from Yale University, Amitabh Shah turned down a Wall Street offer with JP Morgan to work on the real streets of India and establish Yuva Unstoppable (among the top 10 largest NGOs in India). Amitabh is also the youngest Indian to receive the US Government’s International Ellis Island Award, an honour previously given to global icons like President Bill Clinton, President George Bush, Muhammad Ali, Paula Abdul, Indra Nooyi, and Malala Yousafzai. Yuva Unstoppable’s efforts have also been recognised by former Presidents of India – Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Shri Ram Nath Kovind, and Amitabh was recently appointed as the Viksit Bharat Ambassador for his nation-building efforts. Their interventions include projects across Education; Early Childhood Care, Health and Nutrition; Employability and Skilling; and Environment and Agroforestry.
