He’s entering his 65th year on August 29, and with that he’s approaching 50 years in the wellness industry, but holistic health marvel Mickey Mehta is only just getting started. His vast experience, and the rich wisdom he’s gained from his decades in the industry, have made this godly pioneer of holistic wellness understand that while modern healthcare has no doubt made remarkable advances in treating disease his deep knowledge of ancient wisdom traditions and sciences plays a vital role in guiding his team of doctors and qualified therapists to lead people up a more complete path to all-inclusive wellness.

In his close to five decades in holistic healing, Mickey has touched hundreds of million lives seeking liberation from suffering and freedom from ongoing medical treatments. Today, recognizing his philosophy of serious ailment management, some of the top doctors of leading hospitals work with him to get people into healthy habits as a way of life. Others may still be skeptical about medicine beyond Allopathy, but Mickey is confident the day is not far when seeing good results and proof of concept, more and more word of mouth from happy, healed, wholesome people, the world will turn towards holism for healing. The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) has integrated research on Allopathy, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy and has published several papers with great validation and acceptance by the international medical world on this synergy.

Among the faculty of medical experts proud to be associated with Mickey are cardiologists, neurologists, physicians, psychiatrists, naturopaths, physiotherapists, homoeopaths, and practitioners of Ayurveda. His quest for knowledge that contributes to holistic wellness is insatiable. And his universal search has led Mickey to the ancient wisdom and traditional knowledge of Indian creators and leaders like Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, and B. K. S. Iyengar whose influence on him was tremendous. He is perhaps Baba Ramdev’s biggest fan for whatever the Yoga and Ayurveda guru has contributed to the world of yoga worldwide and towards making Yoga a medicine for many ailments.

Around this time, Mickey and his sister and a whole team of doctors and experts of multiple therapies worked day and night to save his mother who was fading from cancer. This opened a new chapter of holistic health healing that starkly showed Mickey the difference between physiological fitness and vanilla wellness. He subsequently heard modern scientists and Nobel Laureates like Roger Penrose, Elizabeth Blackburn, Roger Ramon, and Schrodinger endorsing a whole new rethink about Allopathy that took the world by storm. Mickey says, “Allopathy is magical and saves lives in time. Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy are miraculous and make life long and sublime. If Allopathy is milk, then Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy are cream. Both together are a divine dream! Your genes can be reprogrammed and a new memory built even at 70 0r 100. The journey from bedridden to boldly walking can be charted out with scientific multi-disciplinary therapies.”

From Dr. Joe Dispenza, the mind-body science of change expert, Mickey grasped that thoughts and emotions dictate our reality. By harnessing neuroscience, epigenetics, and quantum physics, you can rewire your brain, break subconscious habits, and even physically heal your body. Dr. Bruce Lipton, the stem cell biologist, reminded Mickey that thoughts and consciousness control our biology. “Our belief can change our biology,” Mickey says. “Modern science accepts that DNA alone does not determine disease, or dictate our physical traits and health, but external signals in the environment influence and impact our subconscious beliefs to control genetic expression and build new memories.”

Our ancient rishi munis, who were spiritual scientists believing in the interconnectedness of the cosmos, brought to Mickey the principles of dharma (righteousness), karma (action), and moksha (liberation), and the realization that the ultimate truth and ultimate knowledge was gained through deep meditation, intuition, and observation. They shaped Indian heritage (Sanatana Dharma) and the scientific, astronomical and Vedic systems all in accordance with medical custodians of individual alignment. “Medicine cures, Nature heals,” Mickey says. “I eat breath for breakfast, soak myself in the sun, and have an air bath.”

And thanks to doctors who believe in holistic health healing along with medical science, among whom are Dr. Farokh Udwadia, Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Mukesh Batra, Dr. Ali Irani, Dr. Rajat Chauhan, Dr. Keki Turel, Dr. Mazda Turel, Dr. Gaurav Desai, Dr. Naresh Trehan, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Dr. Jaydeep Palep, and Dr. Raghu Ram of Krishna Hospital in Hyderabad, Mickey has seen fragmented physiology becoming whole again, broken biology becoming bold again, scattered psychology becoming serene again and hurt hormonology becoming healthy again. You may count him among the world’s leading holistic health gurus and wellness experts, but Mickey gently points out, “I myself am not a man of medicine, a medico doctor, I do not prescribe Allopathy medicine and treatments, I am into promoting the growth and glory of humanity.”

The delivery of all the above therapies and treatments Mickey has put together in a scientific structure for execution called the Holistic Health Hexagon. It has six tenets of wellness and wellbeing. Like the six-pointed Israeli Star of David, but acts like the North Star that aligns with the Earth’s axis of rotation gaining the influence of all the stars and planets. Likewise, every health endeavor has to point towards the evolution of mankind, because healing the whole is more than a sum total of the parts. His Holistic Health Hexagon emphasizes Breath, Food & Fasting, Movement & Stillness, Sound & Silence, Optimism & Faith, and Meditation. Mickey’s approach is personalized, individualized and customized.

Which is the philosophy behind Antar, Mickey’s contemporary digital platform that makes holistic wellness more accessible and personalized. Lasting wellness is achieved by treating the individual as a whole rather than addressing isolated symptoms. Unlike platforms that focus on a single aspect of health, Antar adopts an integrated approach. Depending on individual needs, it brings together Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Homoeopathy, Therapeutic Yoga, Nutrition, Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy, Counselling, Serious Ailment Management, Morbid Obesity Management, Deaddiction Management and many other systematic holistic healing health programs to support people dealing with serious ailments and a complexity of ailments right in the familiarity and comfort of their homes.

The success he is seeing in his integration of modern medical science and traditional wellness therapies, has encouraged Mickey to launch a unique and singular service called the Senior Citizen’s Concierge. He explains it simply as a bespoke, at-home programme especially for NRIs and people working overseas who have elderly parents living alone in Mumbai dying out of loneliness and a lack of attention. They could be saved from their isolation by his team of courteous and professional concierges who would lovingly and caringly tend to these senior citizens in the absence of their immediate family by visiting them, reading and singing to them, taking them for walks, for checkups to doctors, to the temple, bookstores, cinema, apart from providing them with multiple wellness therapies.

“As medicine continues to evolve, wellness too must evolve and harness energies from the five elements,” says Mickey. By encouraging habits, emotional balance, physical resilience and preventive care, he complements conventional medical treatment while empowering individuals to play a more active role in their own well-being. Every human being can heal themselves. Equanimity turns into enthusiasm which turns into energy. As Nikola Tesla, the Serbian-American inventor and futurist said while reiterating our rishi munis’ statements, “Matter is made of energy, frequency, and vibrations.” Agreeing with this profound theory, Mickey adds with all his wisdom and experience, “And that also heals.”

“Medicine treats illness. The Holistic Health Hexagon helps people rediscover the rhythm of living,” says Mickey. “To go from illness to wellness, from frustration to freedom, from languishing to liberation, from spinning on circumference to getting settled in the centre, from suffering to celebration. I want a wellness revolution for human evolution. Death and disease shouldn’t be human destiny. Death by disease is for animals that haven’t evolved with super consciousness. Humans should let go of their breath at will with a smile on their face and not with pins, needles and surgeries on hospital beds. My ultimate goal is to help individuals become energized, optimized, maximized, and to get wellness revolutionized.” Which is a state that has come to be unequivocally known in the holistic wellness world as ‘Get Naturalized, Get Mickeymized’.
