NEW DELHI: Pritam Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India is the new Director General and Chief Executive Officer (DG&CEO) at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). His Detailed profile is not available in the IICA website. The appointment is for the period of three months or till incumbent joins the post, whichever is earlier.
Confirmation of Appointment
According to website of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Pritam Singh is presently working as an Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India.
“With the Approval of Corporate Affairs Minister, Pritam Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs has been given the additional charge of Director General & Chief Executive Officer (DG&CEO) of IICA w.e.f 9.9.2016 for a period of three months or till incumbent joins the post, whichever is earlier. He will perform the duties of DG&CEO in addition to his existing work in the Ministry”, an office order dated 15.09.2016 said. (See Office Order)
Previous Leadership and Institutional Overview
Earlier, IICA was headed by Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee. IICA, is located at Manesar, Gurgaon, established under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs that provides various services, especially implementation of provisions in the Companies Act. IICA works on measures to improve the corporate growth and regulation, among others.
Recruitment Process for DG&CEO
Ministry of Corporate Affairs has invited applications for the post of DG&CEO and 11 July 2016 was the last date for applying for the post. Tenure of the DG&CEO is for five years or till the person completes 65 years of age, whichever is earlier, according to a public announcement.
