Empowering Communities through Sustainable Housing

NEW DELHI (India CSR): In a significant move towards empowering underprivileged communities, Habitat for Humanity India and Max Estates have joined forces to build 50 homes in Haryana. This collaboration aims to provide safe, stable, and self-reliant housing solutions for families in need, marking a crucial step towards sustainable development.

Transformative Partnership

On July 27, 2024, Habitat for Humanity India, a leading housing non-profit organization, and Max Estates, a prominent real estate developer in the NCR region, held a groundbreaking ceremony in Aakera village, Rewari. This event marked the commencement of their ambitious project to build 50 homes for families in Haryana.

Phased Development

The project will unfold in two phases over two years. The first phase focuses on constructing 25 homes in Aakera village, followed by the second phase, which will build an additional 25 homes in Bhudla village, Rewari district. This phased approach ensures systematic development and timely completion.

Commitment to Dignity and Well-Being

Anand Kumar Bolimera, National Director of Habitat for Humanity India, emphasized the significance of safe housing, stating, “Safe and healthy housing is a basic need that upholds human dignity and well-being. Our partnership with Max Estates is a testament to our commitment to empowering communities through sustainable housing solutions. This collaboration aligns with the Government of India’s vision of housing for all and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 11, which focuses on making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.”

Embodying Core Values

Sahil Vachani, Vice Chairman and MD of Max Estates Limited, highlighted the initiative’s alignment with the company’s values. “Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity India exemplifies our core value of Sevabhav and our LiveWell philosophy at Max Estates. For every four homes sold at our Estate 128 project in Noida, Max Estates will support the construction of one home for an underprivileged family. This initiative embodies our commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives,” he said.

Aiming for a Brighter Future

Through this collaboration, Habitat for Humanity India and Max Estates aim to provide 50 families in Haryana with the foundation for a better future. This partnership highlights the importance of adequate shelter in enabling individuals and communities to thrive.
