New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has impacted 19,798 people by providing them training in employable vocational skills, says L&T annual report 2018-19.
As per the reports, the company runs nine Construction Skills Training Institutes (CSTIs) in eight states that provide free training in construction skills for the sizeable unorganised workforce in the sector, making them employable.
At many L&T sites, the company is giving training to young girls and physically challenged persons in various employable skills as per their interests. The skill courses include tailoring, embroidery, beautician course, food processing, home management, computer skills and primary education and health.
